All of our courseware kits have been designed by Don Jones, a well-known information technology author, Microsoft MVP award recipient, and technology journalist. Don has more than seven years of instructional design experience, including designing courseware for adult education as well as for K-12 and undergraduate students. His preferred instructional design approach is called constructionism, a technique first developed in the early 1900s. The primary hallmark of this technique is to show students how to construct their own information through a series of informal hands-on exercises, interactive discussions, and more formal hands-on labs. Adapted to the requirements of adult technology training, this technique is powerful and effective, not only giving students immediate facts and knowledge, but also helping them to continue building their skills long after the class is over.
