Objective: Solve the Mystery of “The Sea’s Legend”, and catch the Pokemon that Professor Laventon saw.

This Walkthrough guide will show you how to Solve the Mystery of “The Sea’s Legend”, and catch the Pokemon Manaphy that Professor Laventon saw. Request 66 can be found on Professor Laventon’s blackboard in the Galaxy Hall.

To unlock this request you need to have reached the Scaling Perilous Heights main story mission. You also need to have Buizel, Mantyke and Hisuian Overqwil in your Pokedex. You also need to be Star Rank 5.

Once you unlock the request and receive it from the blackboard you will need to go to the Cobalt Coastlands. Change the time to evening by resting in the campsite. You also need to add Buizel, Mantyke and Hisuian Overqwil to your party.

Then go swim between the two rock pillars at the end of the hand-shaped peninsula. When you do this you will hear a strange call from Manaphy. It actually appears on the screen via text it’s not something you will actually hear. If this doesn’t happen then make sure you have the correct Pokemon in your party and make sure it’s the correct time of day and make sure you already got the request off the blackboard.

After you hear Manaphy call at the rock pillars you will need to go to the Seaside Hollow cave. Inside the cave is where you will find 3 Phione spawns and one Manaphy spawn. You only need to catch Manaphy to complete the request, however I suggest to catch all 3 Phione as well.

After you catch Manaphy you can go back to either camp and talk to the professor and he will complete the request for you. Your reward for completing the request is 3 comet shards.

It’s also worth noting that after you complete the request you can always catch more Phione inside the Seaside Hollow cave. As long as you caught the initial 3 spawns then they will have a very rare chance to respawn inside the cave when you visit again later. Usually it will be a bunch of Octillery that spawn however rarely the cave will be filled with Phione spawns too. They can not be shiny sadly.

Pokémon Legends: Arceus Walkthrough- Request #66: The Sea’s Legend (Phione & Manaphy).

Steps to Complete the Request:
1. Accept the Request on the Blackboard in Galaxy Hall.
2. Evolve a Hisuian Qwilfish into an Overqwil by having it use the Move “Barb Barrage” in Strong Style 20 times while being at least level 20.
3. Next, during “evening hours,” travel through the 2 rock pillars in Cobalt Coastlands with Buizel, Mantyke, and Overqwil in your party.
4. Find Seaside Hollow and Catch Manaphy (I strongly recommend catching the Phione as well).
5. Report back to Professor Laventon.
